Worlds Apart gets a Doctor in the House

Worlds Apart is delighted to have the support of top TV Psychologist Dr Linda Papadopoulos to help highlight the social, emotional and psychological benefits of its newest toys.

As a busy working mum with a daughter aged 5, Dr Linda is only too aware that children's lifestyles are increasingly over-scheduled and more demanding than perhaps we might have experienced in our own childhood. Dr Linda is also concerned about the lack of community spirit she is now experiencing compared to that of her own upbringing and recognises it as a growing problem when it comes to the social and emotional development of children.

Linda offers both a professional and personal insight into how particular role play patterns can reinforce important social skills and behaviour, and also how and why it's important to manage the pressures of work on children so they can still have fun and continue to learn through play.

Linda is happy to back the benefits that children will gain from playing with toys such as Dream Town's Cherry Blossom Stores and the new Swap Top role play desks. While Cherry Blossom Stores gives children all the fun of playing out the fun of running and shopping in the local community, Swap Tops offer the perfect solution for both shortage of space and shortage of time to play!

Commenting on working with Worlds Apart, Linda said: "I was delighted to be approached by Worlds Apart. As a mum, these subjects hit a strong note with my own beliefs and experiences and offer a perfect opportunity to communicate some important issues".
